Carpal Tunnel Recipe

update chef
First I would like to say Happy New Year to everyone!
Now for the update. Well some of you folks might be thinking: Nice…she starts a blog at full-force and then peters the hell out after only a month - what-a-frickin-looosah!” Which yes fellow foodies, on the obvious side THAT is in fact totally true. But I must make you aware that it is NOT simply because I have run out of recipes to blog about or that my creative juice arteries are clogged or even that I have been too busy with the holidays and planning for our upcoming trip to San Francisco. Nope. No sir - ee - bob. None of the above. Actually it is because I have slowly but surely, over the course of the last several months, developed a painful case of carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists (a trip to the orthopedic surgeon in a few days from now will firm this diagnosis up). My doctor told me it would be in my best interest to curtail my nightly computer activities (aka blogging) and to adorn myself with a pair of hideously ugly and uncomfortable wrist braces for a few weeks to see if my symptoms would improve. Well much to my dismay there was no improvement at all, so now I will be off to the orthopedic surgeon only a few days before we leave for our trip to San Francisco.
The true purpose of this posting was to let you all know that I have not abandoned Chef it up yo! and in fact, haven’t stopped documenting recipes and taking photos of the dishes. I have everything saved for when I can start posting more regularly. (Unfortunately for now it has to be on days that I haven’t worked since my wrists are quite sore after an 8 or 9 hour day doing pretty much this very same stuff.) Once I know what the dealio is with my “condition” or whatever you want to call it, I will be in a better place to see how often I can post and will then let you all know. There is nothing worse than getting into a blog and then it craps out on you.
“When there is pain, there are no words.” - Toni Morrison (betcha didn’t know she was referring to blogging with carpal tunnel, didja?) ;)
